guide my students to become curious, thoughtful, and empathetic thinkers. ELA doesn't simply teach students to read and write, but to perform complex logic and consider the world using a critical/analytic framework, so that no matter what profession my students enter, they can actively participate in society. It is my goal every year to promote this mindset in my students through my teaching and materials.
